Pacific Islander Communities Establish Community Garden Plots

It is official: As of Nov. 7th, 2011, the Tongan Community Service Center and Guam Communications Network each have sowing beds at the Growing Experience in Long Beach, and are aiming to bring community members together to not only grow fruits and vegetables (native to Tonga, Samoa, Guam, etc), but also to grow the strength and relationships within each of their respective PI communities. Both organizations are partners with APIOPA on the SAFE for APIs project, and are proven leaders in the Tongan, Chamorro, and Samoan communities
