Good Food Day LA: Festival

We are thrilled to invite you to attend an exciting panel discussion about how our food choices can help create a global Fair Food system: From the Local to the Global: Will Food Ever Be Fair?:

“From field workers to small farms across the globe, the movement for Fair Food seeks equal access to healthy food and just treatment for the workers who produce and deliver food to our tables. This Cesar Chavez Day, join the Los Angeles Food Policy Council for a panel discussion about how our food choices can help create a global Fair Food system.”

This panel discussion will take place as part of the Good Food Day LA Festival and closing ceremonies, Saturday March 31st at 1:00pm at the Metabolic Studios, under the Spring St. Bridge adjacent to Chinatown in downtown LA.

Our excellent line-up of speakers includes Jonathan GoldL.A. Times Restaurant Critic, Joann Lo– Food Chain Workers Alliance, Mary Lee– PolicyLink, Muthoni Muriu– Oxfam America, Diana Tellefson Torres– UFW Foundaiton, and will be moderated by Evan Kleiman of KCRW’s Good Food.

The event is produced and presented by The Office of Mayor Villaraigosa, We Serve LA, and The Los Angeles Food Policy Council. The panel discussion is sponsored by the California Endowment, Oxfam America, United Farm Workers, UFW Foundation, and Metabolic Studio.
